St. Louis – March 25, 2022 – Dismas House of St. Louis has received notice from the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) that its contract for delivering residential reentry services would be extended into the year 2023. Dismas House, the nation’s first residential reentry center for justice involved individuals, has operated the federal residential reentry services contract for nearly 40 years.

Dismas House serves as the BOP residential reentry center for the Greater Metropolitan Area of St. Louis. The area includes the city of St. Louis; St. Louis County, St. Charles, and Jefferson Counties in Missouri; and Madison, Monroe, Jersey and St. Clair Counties in Illinois.
